Barts Bash Global Sailing Race

WBB will be part of the largest sailing event in the world on Sunday 18th September 2016.

This is a truly global event with thousands of sailors competing in various locations in over 40 countries. The race must take place in a 24 hour period, and then the results will be forwarded to the organisers who will collate all the results together to make a single race.

So effectively you will be racing against everyone from Olympians right down to novice racers all over the world!

Andrew "Bart" Simpson was a multi Olympic medal winning sailor who died in a tragic sailing accident while training for the America's Cup. This event is a fundraiser for the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation, which aims to inspire the next generation of sailors around the world.

The race is primarily for fun, but it is also raising money for Bart's sailing foundation.

The format will be a series of races throughout the allocated time period.

To enter this event the price is set at £5.00. WBB will forward this entry fee to the Sailing Foundation.

If you'd like to donate more, please do so via the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation's Just Giving page:
