Westminster Boating Base has been selected by the The Mayor’s Sports Legacy Fund to offer Londoners vastly subsidised national recognised courses in Sailing, Kayaking, Canoeing and Powerboating to increase the number of Londoners working and volunteering in sports and physical activity, and up-skill those already involved, leading up to the 2012 Games.
The programme is part of the London Mayor’s multi-million pound investment into the city’s sporting infrastructure and is managed by The National Skills Academy for Sport and Active Leisure.
All of our adult courses
can be subsidised by up to 75% if you participate in this programme.
For example, a RYA level 1 and 2 powerboat course and/or Level 1 and 2
sailing course would normally cost £300 but by participating in
this programme these courses would be available to you for £75.

In order to be eligible for this scheme all you need to do is pledge a minimum of 15 hours volunteering at a venue of your choice and be a London resident.
