Ambiance
Westminster Boating Base is set in the very pretty Pimlico Gardens which provides a wonderful backdrop for the more formal wedding photographs.
The principal function rooms are linked over an atrium and the pavilion extends over the river, with floor to ceiling windows all round to provide dazzling views up and down the Thames.
The Edgson room has a full length covered balcony to the river and is equipped with effects lights and speakers for music and dancing. The configuration of the function rooms is such that the sounds of a disco need not interfere with other guests enjoying a quiet drink and conversation whilst admiring the views.

Hot & cold buffet: 150 - 250 People
Seated silver service & table plan: 150 People.
The spacious open-plan building lends itself to a wide variety of theming.
Westminster Boating Base can be reasonably flexible with the timing of events and permits smoking on the riverfront balconies. The building lends itself well to live and/ or recorded music.
Retro Catering is the resident event management company for the WBB, however clients are free to use other professional and established caterers and events management companies.
Cost
The cost of holding your event at Westminster Boating Base is not fixed due to many variables such as the time of year, the seating and eating arrangements, decoration and so on.
The fee for the rental of the building goes directly to the Trust. This is the way that the watersports charity manages to meet its overheads - and many hirers have expressed satisfaction in knowing that part of the cost of their event is going to a good cause.
