No tide: Sailors v Kayakers!

The Thames Barrier will be closed for a full cycle of the tide. Let the games commence!
Reigniting that age old rivalry between sailors and kayakers, a series of fun and games to challenge you all in teams of mixed sports.
Don't worry its all in good humour! Who will be taking the trophy though?
Who is it for?
Our youth members and adult users who qualify to attend our usual Sunday sessions., ie, competent kayakers and sailors. Sorry, no beginners.
In the afternoon there will be a barbecue for all members, users, schools, friends and family - youth and adult. Veggie and halal options.
Held during the barbecue, after the watersports - the now infamous model boat race! Entries can be power or sail but cannot be remotely controlled or over 1 metre in length. Since its a model boat, you are not allowed to sit in it!
The aim: to be the first to get from the pontoon to the river wall.
Get building from household materials - anything you have lying around from plastic bottles to unwanted t-shirts for sails.
There is no charge for entry.
