British Canoeing Paddlesports Instructor

This qualification is the first step towards coaching in paddlesports.  It introduces the fundamentals of safe, ethical and effective paddlesport coaching. The qualification is ideal for anyone looking to get into coaching, be it competitive or recreational. The qualification is not craft specific and can be completed as a boat-based or bank-based qualification.

The main aim of an entry level qualification is to show your passion for paddlesport and start to inspire the next generation of paddlers with taster sessions and beginner level courses.

This course will be run by a British Canoeing Assessor, you will cover all the course content and complete the four Assessment Tasks:

• Rescue Skills
• Personal Skills (boat-based only)
• Practical Coaching
• Training Course Workbook
