We are Westminster Boating Base

Westminster Boating Base (registered charity number 299412) is an independent, young persons charity teaching dinghy sailing, powerboating, kayaking and canoeing in central London to young people and adults. A British Canoeing and Royal Yachting Association accredited training centre.

Located on the River Thames in a beautiful small riverside park, our spacious function and meeting rooms with riverfront balconies are available to hire as a venue for parties—both corporate and private—conferences, seminars, wedding receptions and other events. Venue hire is one of the major ways in which the charity is able to generate revenue in order to fund its charitable activities.

COVID-19: We're not on the water but we're looking to the future...

We have advertised courses for the RYA Powerboat Level 2, RYA level 1 & 2 sailing and BC Paddle Discover from July onwards. We intend to run these and will make places available to book online as soon as government restrictions are lifted.

In the meantime, join our waiting list by sending us a message with the course you would like to book and we'll get back to you as soon as we're able to run activities.

COVID-19: WE NEED YOUR HELP

As a result of the pandemic and forced closure, our income streams have dried up. If the Westminster Boating Base charity is to survive and revive the outreach work within the community, emergency funds to cover fixed costs are needed to see it through hibernation.

Please consider a donation.
