Watersports open day at WBB.
Fun for all the family, showcasing the activities we regularly provide at minimal cost for all in the community. Don't be shy, come along and get involved.
All ages welcome but activities are for 10-23 year olds and require parental consent for under 18s.
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
Sessions for everyone 10yrs to 23 years inc.

This is the day that the Thames Barrier is closed for a full cycle of the tide to test its functionality - so we will have virtually NO TIDE all day!

Model Boat Race - 16:00
Free food / barbecue available to all those taking part in the watersports sessions from around midday and after 3pm.
Additional barbecue tickets available for £3.00 per head.
All are welcome to enter the model boat race.
The rules are simple: your boat must propel itself from our pontoon to the river wall - approximately 30 metres.
It can be made from anything, have any form of propulsion and be a boat of any shape and style.
There are only 2 rules: Your boat must not exceed one metre in length. Your boat must not be remote controlled.
May the best design win!
Also prizes for most inventive and best decorated boats.

Please note: you will not be able to take part in the activities without the above.
The season begins on 01st April 2023. Kayaking and sailing continues throughout the winter on Sundays. Winter clothing regulations apply.
