Meet for a social chat. Bring your own lunch
COVID-19: Currently we're not running activities but we hope to start in mid July 2021. Please join our mailing list for updates.
Mondays (not bank holidays)
Arrive about 12.30
Sessions start at 13:00
You are most welcome to come along and see what goes on without going on the water. Join the group for a cup of tea to see your friends or make new friends, or just enjoy the tranquility of the river. You will not be charged for this.
There is a further charge for any RYA and or BC certificates gained.
Participate in a gentle exercise routine if you wish
Sign up for afternoon session either in power boats or in kayaks. (All waterborne sessions are led by experienced professional instructors). We provide all the gear including buoyancy aids.
Enjoy time on the water. (If that is not for you stay and relax on the balcony and take in the panoramic river views and the Nine Elms developments)
Activities operate on a first-come-first-served basis but we try to accomodate as many as possible.
For some it's as much about the social occasion as the watersports so come along, have a cuppa and a chat and see what goes on. Maybe you'll be persuaded to give the watersports a try, but do come and visit us.
Please note that if you are late, you may be turned away. Time and tide wait for no one!
Nobody will be allowed on the water without the appropriate clothing!
The Upperdeckers group is funded by a variety of organisations. Unfortunately current funding has run out so we are charging a small amount for the sessions in the hope that we will find some more funding that will make it free once again.
We have to actively seek funding to keep these sessions going so if you would like to help us do that, please contact us.
