Westminster Boating Base is an independent charity teaching dinghy sailing, powerboating, kayaking and canoeing in central London. Located on the river Thames in a secluded riverside park, our spacious function and meeting rooms with riverfront balconies are available to hire as a venue for parties - both corporate and private - conferences, seminars, wedding receptions and other events.

London 2012 Olympic Tickets - Up For Grabs!

Every young person who signs up for 2012 Youth Membership before the end of May 2012 will be entered into a draw to win 2 tickets to the London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony on 27th July. The winner will receive BOTH tickets.

This opportunity is available to:

• all youth members who register for membership after 1st April this year and before 1pm on the 31st May when the draw will be made.
• all active adult volunteers as at the 31st March 2012

Westminster Boating Base has two tickets for the opening ceremony on the 27th July. Both tickets will be given to the first name drawn out of the 2 groups above. If the winner is under 18 then WBB will need to ensure that their parents decide who the second ticket is made available to. If the winner is 18 or over then both tickets can be used at their discretion but please note that in both cases the tickets cannot be resold and all conditions for their use are complied with.

WBB has a fleet of 8 sea kayaks entered for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee River Pageant on Sun 3rd June 2012. The pageant will consist of approximately 1000 boats of all shapes and sizes and will include a large number of kayaks parading down the river from Hammersmith to Shadwell before the eyes of the world.
